Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies KlasPoint uses, what each one does and how to control them.
Last updated
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. KlasPoint uses as few as possible. Most are strictly necessary — the site cannot sign you in or keep your account safe without them — so they do not need your consent.
Strictly necessary
- Sign-in session (named sb-…-auth-token): keeps you signed in and refreshes your session. Set by our authentication provider, Supabase. Lasts for your session, renewed while you stay active.
- Sign-in verifier (named sb-…-auth-token-code-verifier): a short-lived value that protects the sign-in step when you use Google or an email link. Removed once you are signed in.
- Device identifier (kp_device): a random value used to recognise your browser when a centre limits each student account to one device. Lasts about 13 months. It is not used for advertising.
Preferences
- Active workspace (active_operator): remembers which centre's dashboard you last opened, if you work for more than one. Lasts one year.
- Sidebar (kp_sidebar): remembers whether you collapsed the dashboard sidebar. Lasts one year.
- Level tracker (stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie): remembers the last level you saw on the student portal so we can celebrate when you level up.
Advertising (free lecturer accounts only)
Free lecturer accounts are supported by Google ads, shown on those lecturers' student portals and dashboards. When ads are shown, Google may set cookies to serve, personalise and measure them. You can control ad personalisation in Google's ad settings. Ads, and therefore these cookies, are never used for paying centres or their students.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary ones, you will not be able to sign in. For questions about cookies, see our Privacy Policy or email us.
