What is payments in KlasPoint?

KlasPoint payments is the fee collection and access control system for tutorial centres. Students pay for a class plan online through Flutterwave, the centre's share is settled to its bank account, and each student's access is unlocked or paused according to the period their payment covers.

Included on every plan. The KlasPoint platform fee is 5% of each successful payment on Starter and 8% on Pro.

The problem

Fee collection is where tutorial centres lose the most time.

  • Transfers arrive as bank alerts with no student name attached, and someone has to match them by hand.
  • Students who have not paid still sit in class, open the notes and take the mock exams.
  • Chasing defaulters one by one on WhatsApp is awkward, slow and never quite finished.

Every enrolment in KlasPoint records the date a student's payment covers them until. That one date decides what they can open across lessons, materials, exams and events, so the moment a verified payment lands, their access updates without anyone touching it.

    See every transaction with its reference, a list of students who are behind and by how long, and export either to a spreadsheet.

How does my tutorial centre receive student payments?

When you set up payouts you verify your bank account. Your share of each successful payment is split out through Flutterwave and settled to that account.

Who pays the KlasPoint platform fee?

You choose. Either the fee comes out of the price you set, or it is added on top at checkout so you receive your full price.

What happens if a payment fails or is abandoned?

Nothing unlocks. A payment is only recorded as successful after KlasPoint verifies it with Flutterwave and checks that the amount matches.

Can I still offer free classes?

Yes. Content and events that do not require payment stay free, and no platform fee applies when no payment is made.
