Refund Policy

How refunds work for fees paid through KlasPoint, for students and for tutorial centres.

Last updated

1. If you are a student

  • Fees for classes, plans and events are set and received by the centre. To ask for a refund — for example, a class was cancelled or you paid for the wrong plan — contact the centre first, using the contact details on its portal.
  • Each centre sets its own refund rules and should tell you what they are before you pay. If a centre agrees to refund you, it arranges the refund.
  • Access a payment unlocked (such as paid materials, mock exams or classes) may end once a payment is refunded.

2. Payment errors

If you were charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or charged for a payment that does not show as successful in KlasPoint, email hello@klaspoint.com with the transaction reference from your receipt or from the payment page. We will investigate with our payment provider, Flutterwave, and arrange for an error to be corrected or reversed. Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank, as that is usually faster.

3. If you run a centre

  • Publish clear refund rules for your students and honour them.
  • Refunds of student fees are your responsibility. We can help you process a refund through the payment provider where it supports it.
  • The KlasPoint platform fee on a payment is not refunded when you refund a student by choice, because the payment was processed. If a refund is needed because of an error on our side, such as a duplicate charge, we refund the platform fee too.
  • If a student disputes a charge with their bank (a chargeback), the payment provider may recover the amount from your settlements. Keep records of the classes you delivered.

4. If you cannot reach an agreement

If you and a centre cannot resolve a refund request, email hello@klaspoint.com. We cannot decide disputes between centres and students, but we will review what happened, contact the centre, and take action under our Terms of Service if the centre is not treating students fairly.
